A magical extravagant yet sophisticated look that this vintage jewel creates with its well cut open back Austrian Crystals set in alloy metal with chrome plating. A popular choice amongst American jewellers during the 40s onwards, Austrian crytsals gave the jewellers a perfect inexpensive replacement for expensive gems such as diamonds to create a rich fine jewellery look in affordable prices when the worl was coming out from the 2nd World War.
The beauty of these well cut crystals is in its light reflecting capacity that creates opulence around its look and that these crystals never tarnish or turn black.
