A cute little vintage enamelled Bird of Paradise clip on potentially by BJL - a company formed in 1946 and has a cult followers who admire its mysterious and marcasite jewellery. The cute bird clip on features multicolored enamel in the shades of amber, yellow and green eyes of a sparrow bird. The beautiful spread out wings are made in multicoloured enamel using mint, blue, amber and yellow color and marcasite. the bird has beautiful green crystal eyes and has a clip on back. This a cutest little vintage collectible potentially by BJL (unsigned). The back of the earrings has rhodium plating.
 
It is a lovely collectible piece for collectors who like figural jewellery and dainty everyday jewels which are eccentric and tell a tale.
The earrings looks prettier in real when worn than what can be seen through the photos or videos.
 
About BJL
BJL stands for Bohemian Jewellers Ltd was formed in 1946 in Birmingham, UK. They produced jewellery under the registered trademark “Bomarc”. Almost all BJL costume jewellery is signed with BJL. BJL brooches all have bead-set marcasites, where the metal has been pushed over the stone to secure it. Interestingly, they also made some sterling silver marcasite pieces. This makers mark is registered to Bohemian Jewellery Ltd with the London Assay office.
