Not for the faint hearted, we bring you a bold statement piece, indicative of Cadoro design, a statement solid flapping gold phoenix pendant necklace which also double up as a large brooch given the back pin provided in the pendant. The Phoenix has textured design, and each part of the wing moves individually. The back of the pendant carries Cadoro copyright mark ©CADORO. The pendant doubles up as a pendant with a pack pin, and can come out the solid gold Victorian chain.
The Victorian chain and the pendant is built in solid gold plated gilt metal and is a fairly solid heavy weight chain. The quality and make of the necklcace is impeccable despite being made in the 50s/60s. Truly a masterpiece collectible.

About CADORO: Cadoro, or Cadoro Jewels Corporation, was a Manhattan-based jewelry company founded in 1954 by Steven Brody and Daniel Stoenescu specialising in fashionable costume jewelry sold via department stores such as Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. The company closed in 1987.
Today, examples of Cadoro jewelry are held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art. 
The famous Italian-born French designer Nina Ricci designed for CADORO. 
Cadoro statement-making designs included breast-plate style necklaces as well as ethnic-inspired pieces.

Since most of Cadoro Jewels Corporation product was made after 1955, the marks have a copyright symbol included whether before or after Cadoro in all capital letters.  Pieces designed by Nina Ricci for Cadoro were also marked the same.
