A lovely collector's delight collectible the 1920s white mother of pearl and gold opera glasses antique made by Altex Paris (hallmarked). The glasses are of a small compact size,with the barrels and the eye pieces are in a white mother of pearl with the rest of the body being in a gold plated brass metal.
They extend/focus by using the mother of pearl dial in the middle, which focuses the lenses and extends the eye pieces out from the main barrels slightly.
 
Viewing through the optics is clear and crisp. Magnification is probably 2.5X, but it is not marked on the glasses.
 
Altex Paris in gently stamped on the chrome running between the outer lenses. 
 
A true rare collectible piece. Such pieces often go for auctions.
